Tips For Initiating a Lifestyle Change

December 24, 2009 By: admin Category: Intuition, Natural Health, Natural Philosophy

It’s the dawning of a brand new year, and an opportunity to make the positive changes in your life that you have been thinking about making.

Of course as you set out on this path you will soon discover that the most difficult part is knowing where to begin. As you search for information and guidance, there are some very simple,  very important guidelines that could potentially save you a great deal of time and money.

What is the first step in initiating your desired change?
Its always best to ask yourself why you want to do what you are going to try to do. Be very clear about what kind of results you would like to see from the efforts you are putting forth.

Once you have your objectives and your method, find out exactly how this method is going to produce your desired objectives. Examine the process from all conceivable angles until you have a comprehensive understanding of just how this process will produce the results you are seeking.

Once you are confident that the method you have chosen will produce the desired results, you can decide if you have enough of a  knowledge and understanding to figure it out for yourself, or if you require specialized guidance in your journey.

When you are selecting a guide, mentor, or teacher there are a few things to keep in mind.
If a teacher does not personally practice what they are preaching to be the best path towards wellness, or if they do not embody their own teachings, they are most likely not the best way to achieve your desired goals. To put it simply, you should only listen to people who are personally getting the results that you desire.

When you find someone who you feel can assist you in your goals, make certain that you find out exactly how they are going to go about helping you achieve these goals. Transparency is very important when someone is guiding you in your journey. Don’t let anyone tell you that their methods are “secret”, or “esoteric”, or “you just wouldn’t understand so just trust me and I’ll fix everything”. Find out exactly what is behind any methods, principles, rules, and restrictions in any program.

Don’t be fooled by practitioners who are simply regurgitating information that they have been made to memorize without fully understanding the practicality of its application. You must have total awareness of all procedures and be completely comfortable with those procedures as well as all circumstances derived from such procedures. (more…)

The Science of Intuition

September 27, 2009 By: admin Category: Intuition

Your intuition is not some mystical, or magical thing. Its not a cricket on your shoulder, or an angel in your bedroom. Your intuition is a very powerful scientific tool that when used properly, will always show you the best individual path for you. It is not always going to give you all of the information, but it will guide you to the best sources, and help you filter out what is true for you.

Intuition works hand in hand with the world around us. As we observe the happenings of our environment, our intuition will draw us towards or push us away from certain concepts and ideas. Some things will appear to be in harmony, and some things may appear out of place. A well cultivated intuition will keep you firmly grounded in your essence as you explore the vast sea of complicated information and widely varied opinions.

Today’s society is quite Counter Intuitive in most respects. Much of the motivation behind our collective actions comes from greed, habit, fear, or ignorance. We are conditioned to trust only what comes to us from a higher authority, and to trust our own inner knowledge would be considered folly. The result of such conditioning is a person who has little to no self confidence and is very easily swayed towards the benefit of the apparent authority. Moreover, the more we deny our own intuition, the harder it becomes for it to be heard. Eventually our intuition is silenced and we are totally dependent on external authorities for our knowledge and understanding. (more…)

  • "I highly recommend Matt Warner as the best health coach out there. Before I went raw (the right way), I was depressed, overweight, had a ton of food allergies, addicted to smoking, and was forcing myself to go to work everyday at a job that had nothing to do with my passions. Did I mention insomnia? I live in California where there is no shortage of a raw community but chose Matt all the way on the opposite coast because not only did his personal story resonate with me but his Socratic style puts him in a class above the rest. With Matt's help, I was able to gain the confidence to turn it all around. In a matter of a month, I quit smoking, lost weight, had the energy again to exercise, my insomnia went away after 4 days, and I quit my job and am now working in a field I am highly passionate about! Thanks Matt."
