Freedom and Vibrant Health Through Nature

With Matthew Warner

What does freedom mean to you? To me freedom is independence of anything outside the domain of one’s self.  In a spiritual or an emotional sense this would mean that everything we need to satisfy our desires must be sought from within. In a more gross physical sense, the domain of one’s self would extend to the entirety of the physical body and include the elements of the earth and all other beings with which we share our existence. This is the domain that I will refer to as “Nature”. Nature provides us with air, water, food, sunlight, love, affection, touch, along with all the tools and intuitive knowledge we need to enjoy the pinnacle of healthful joy. Anything created outside of this “Nature”, often through manipulation and manufacturing, creates a void between ourselves and our inherent opportunity for total freedom and sustainability. When there is an apparent necessity for something outside of nature, i.e. medicine, supplements, refined micronutrients, drugs, alcohol, stimulants, etc., it is merely an indication that the principles of nature are being ignored in some other aspect(s) of one’s lifestyle. Our bodies are fully capable of every task necessary for vibrant health provided we maintain enough awareness to remove all obstacles that arise due to the self destructive lifestyles that have become convention.

Learn how to remove all of these obstacles and more importantly how to avoid allowing new obstacles to crowd your path to total freedom. We will explore and discuss practical lifestyle aspects from an anatomical, physiological, biological, mental, emotional, ecological, and philosophical/spiritual perspective. Of course not everyone is ready, willing, and/or able to make such a total reform, but gaining an understanding of this perspective is sure to provide a beneficial shift to some part or parts of your lifestyle and outlook.

Our philosophies tend to be geared toward an honor and reverence for nature because we can intuitively identify with the power and peace found in the miraculous natural world. The more you align your actions with that philosophy the more of that power and peace becomes accessible to us as individuals. When we are able to fully embrace a truly natural lifestyle we may find that all of our greatest desires are fulfilled without any boxed, packaged, bottled, electrified, digital, or destructive outside influences. We are able to joyfully experience and appreciate all that already is and break our attachment to fleeting material distractions. Optimum health and infinite joy is the natural state of being. Open your mind to the possibilities of a return to nature and the natural state of Freedom. (more…)

The Naked Truth

October 15, 2009 By: admin Category: Natural Health, Natural Philosophy

When did people start to wear clothes, and why?

The only real purpose that is served by clothing is to keep us comfortable in in-climate weather.  Why are we the only species on the planet that wears clothes?

Every creature on this planet was born with the covering to suit that creatures natural habitat. A polar bear would die of heatstroke in the jungle, just as a hippopotamus would freeze to death in the arctic.

Our natural covering requires that we maintain an average external temperature greater than 70 degrees. How could one possibly state that it is natural for us to inhabit climates in which we would surely freeze to death in our natural naked form.To make this stance viable,  one would need to argue that we were meant to create clothing for ourselves and that it is the will of nature.

To uncover the legitimacy of that statement, we need to examine the effect of clothing on our health and natural well being.

Clothing is external insulation that simulates a warmer environment during in-climate weather. The positive effects of clothing would only apply to those people who are living outside of a suitable human climate. By suitable human climate, I am referring to a sub-tropical climate which not only maintains the proper temperature, but also contains an abundance of nutritious plant foods that best suit our species. People who inhabit these sub tropical regions would have no PRACTICAL use for clothing.

Most people would argue that we need clothing to adapt to our chosen environments and although clothing may not be natural to our species, it doesn’t do us any harm. However, every aspect of nature is part of the grand design of optimal health and abundance. There are no natural laws that can be circumvented without an adverse effect on our ability to fully experience natural well being. Then what harm is there in wearing clothing?

The Science of Intuition

September 27, 2009 By: admin Category: Intuition

Your intuition is not some mystical, or magical thing. Its not a cricket on your shoulder, or an angel in your bedroom. Your intuition is a very powerful scientific tool that when used properly, will always show you the best individual path for you. It is not always going to give you all of the information, but it will guide you to the best sources, and help you filter out what is true for you.

Intuition works hand in hand with the world around us. As we observe the happenings of our environment, our intuition will draw us towards or push us away from certain concepts and ideas. Some things will appear to be in harmony, and some things may appear out of place. A well cultivated intuition will keep you firmly grounded in your essence as you explore the vast sea of complicated information and widely varied opinions.

Today’s society is quite Counter Intuitive in most respects. Much of the motivation behind our collective actions comes from greed, habit, fear, or ignorance. We are conditioned to trust only what comes to us from a higher authority, and to trust our own inner knowledge would be considered folly. The result of such conditioning is a person who has little to no self confidence and is very easily swayed towards the benefit of the apparent authority. Moreover, the more we deny our own intuition, the harder it becomes for it to be heard. Eventually our intuition is silenced and we are totally dependent on external authorities for our knowledge and understanding. (more…)

Natural State of Health

September 27, 2009 By: admin Category: Natural Health

Does a raw food diet create Health?

Raw food does not so much create health as it allows for the Natural State of Health to occur. The Natural state of Health is the condition that we are meant to experience at all times. The Natural state of health is not static. It has infinite potential that is realized more and more as we grow and evolve ourselves.

The foods we eat, the environment we live in, the activities we participate in, and even the thoughts we think can either impede the natural state of health or allow it to flourish and bloom. Obesity, disease, and deficiency only exist as symptoms of poor health. These symptoms are manifestations of our lack of attention to the natural way of life. When we do nothing more than treat these symptoms we are ignoring the messages being sent by our bodies.

Most often we think of this system of symptom treatment as being an exclusive trait of the medical model. This is false. Herbalists suppress symptoms with herbs, homeopaths suppress symptoms with tinctures, and raw foodists suppress symptoms with supplementation. In some severe cases the afore mentioned practices can be used as a means to temporarily provide comfort for a person who is working towards correcting the root issue of health. However, by and large, these methods of symptom suppression are used to ignore the messages of the body so that one can continue an unnatural lifestyle under the illusion of health. (more…)

  • "I highly recommend Matt Warner as the best health coach out there. Before I went raw (the right way), I was depressed, overweight, had a ton of food allergies, addicted to smoking, and was forcing myself to go to work everyday at a job that had nothing to do with my passions. Did I mention insomnia? I live in California where there is no shortage of a raw community but chose Matt all the way on the opposite coast because not only did his personal story resonate with me but his Socratic style puts him in a class above the rest. With Matt's help, I was able to gain the confidence to turn it all around. In a matter of a month, I quit smoking, lost weight, had the energy again to exercise, my insomnia went away after 4 days, and I quit my job and am now working in a field I am highly passionate about! Thanks Matt."
